Yes, I know, it's been a while since I've posted to the blog. My excuse is that summer has been so fun and we've stayed so busy that this has simply slipped my mind. At the beginning of June, Maddie spent a week in Louisiana with the grandparents so she could go to VBS. She loves going ever year and always has so much fun. In the middle of June we made a weekend trip with my parents to Branson and spent a full day at Silver Dollar City. Maddie had a blast riding all the rides and spending time with MawMaw & PawPaw. At the end of June, we took our big summer vacation to Disney World in Orlando with Grammy, Poppa and Andy. It was mine, Andy and Maddie's first time to go and it didn't disappoint. Maddie got to meet almost every princess. We never saw Jasmine or Pochahontas. Along with the ladies, she also met Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Goofy, the Beast, Lilo & Stitch. We also saw Chip & Dale and Daisy and quite a few other characters which I can't remember names. She says Sleeping Beauty is her favorite. Maddie also seems to be a roller coaster fanatic like her momma. She loved the Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain & Soarin', but she says her favorite ride was Spaceship Earth. Ben's favorite ride was the Tower of Terror and my favorite ride was the Aerosmith Rock N Roller Coaster. There's nothing like zero to 60 in 2 seconds with "Walk This Way" blaring in your ears! We spent a full 6 days walking the Disney Parks and one half day walking Downtown Disney. It rained almost every day, but it didn't spoil our fun. We are planning to go back, but we think we are going to wait a few more years. Right now, we are preparing for our last summer vacation of 2009. We will be heading to Gulf Shores for our annual beach trip with Ben's family for a week at the end of July, beginning of August. We are looking forward to a lazy vacation of laying on the beach or floating down the lazy river at our condo.

Great pics. Looks like you all had a great time. Silver Dollar City and Disney World in the same summer sounds a little like somebody is getting spoiled. I'm sure Maddie won't let you get too much of a big head. ;-)
