The Greatest Show on Earth

I know it has been a while since something has been posted on here, but until Thanksgiving, not much had really been going on. That month flew by and now here it is, only 18 days until Christmas. So here is an update of what has been going on with us.

The Sunday before Thanksgiving Ben's grandfather, Grandpa Rudy, passed away. We went in to Louisiana on Monday night rather than Wednesday so that we could be there for visitation and the funeral. The funeral was held on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving. For Thanksgiving, we spent the day at the Murphy's. My mom and dad were there also, so it was truly a great day of family. On Saturday me, my mom, Ben's mom and her sister went to Natchitoches and shopped Front Street for the day. It was so nice to spend the day with them having lunch and shopping. It doesn't get much better than that.

We came back to a normal week of work. Tonight though, we topped our cake. We took Maddie to the "Greatest Show on Earth." The Ringling Bros./Barnum & Bailey Circus. It was so much fun. I think Ben and I laughed as much as she did and definitely had a great time. Her favorite part was the elephants. She said that she liked the whole thing though and thought it was awesome. In her words, "it was so cool."

Now, we are gearing up for Christmas. We bought a new tree this year that I absolutely love, so I had to include a pic or two of it on here too. There's also some pictures of our night at the circus and the things Maddie got there. The picture doesn't show the Dippin' Dots, the nachos and the drink that she and her daddy shared :). In one word, our night was superfragililisticexpealidocious!
